Arrest Made In Death Of Middletown Man Run Over Multiple Times After Parking Lot Fight

Authorities have arrested a suspect accused of running over and killing another man in Central Jersey.

Marvin Tyler, 32, of Sayreville, has been charged in connection with the death of Jason Freeman, 36, which occurred earlier this week in Old Bridge, authorities said on Friday, Dec. 2.

Freeman was killed after an argument in a parking lot at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Acting Chief Donald Fritz, Jr., of the Old Bridge Police Department.

Police received a 911 call reporting an altercation at 100 Perrine Road in Old Bridge, that resulted in a suspect getting in his vehicle and running over Freeman before fleeing, they said.  Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
